Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology is a rapidly advancing branch of medicine and is the therapeutic arm of radiology. Today, many innovations have emerged in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Many of these techniques fall under the branch of Interventional Radiology. With the help of imaging methods (Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance), diseases are treated using minimally invasive methods that do not require incisions and, in most cases, general anesthesia. Unlike surgical treatments, interventional radiological treatments usually do not require hospitalization or involve only day-case procedures.
