Obesity Surgery Application Unit
Obesity surgery refers to surgical procedures that provide fast and effective results in the treatment of obesity for individuals who are morbidly obese (Class III, BMI > 40) or severely obese (Class II, BMI between 35–40) with additional health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, infertility, joint disorders, or respiratory problems.
In addition, metabolic (diabetes) surgery may be performed on selected Type 2 diabetic patients whose blood values are suitable for the procedure. These surgical interventions are typically performed on patients between 18 and 60 years of age.
Before the surgery, patients undergo a comprehensive evaluation by a multidisciplinary team consisting of internal medicine, psychiatry, anesthesiology, and nutrition specialists.
The choice of surgical method in obesity surgery varies depending on each patient’s individual condition. In addition to the surgeries performed, operations are supported by outpatient clinic services available six days a week.
Patients have 24/7 access to their physicians and can obtain detailed information about every step of the process. Both preoperative and postoperative treatments are carefully monitored and managed by our experienced medical team to ensure a safe and successful recovery.
