Otorhinolaryngology
In our Ear, Nose, and Throat Department, we diagnose and treat diseases of the ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions.
Using advanced technology-based diagnostic and treatment methods, our department performs examinations, tests, and treatments for diseases of the hearing and balance systems using endoscopic and microscopic procedures. Ear, Nose, and Throat surgeries and oncological surgical operations for head and neck tumors are also successfully performed.
Our experienced team of specialists provides the most effective emergency, outpatient, and inpatient treatments for our patients using the latest diagnostic and treatment methods.
What is Rhinoplasty with the Piezo Method?
Rhinoplasty, commonly performed to correct nasal shape deformities, is also used to address issues that make breathing difficult, such as nasal bone deviations or trauma. Traditionally, nasal surgeries involve breaking or shaving the nasal bones. However, in recent years, the piezo technique has become increasingly popular in Turkey and Europe. With the piezo method, ultrasonic sound waves are used to manipulate only the bone, instead of traditional cutting or breaking tools. This ensures that surrounding soft tissues remain unharmed, minimizing post-operative complications such as pain and swelling.

What are the advantages of rhinoplasty using the piezo method?
Since nose aesthetic surgeries are performed on the face, protecting cartilage, bone, and soft tissues is of great importance. In surgeries performed using the piezo method, thanks to technology, only the nasal bone is shaped while surrounding tissues remain undamaged, providing more precise and successful results compared to traditional rhinoplasty.
Because it is performed with millimeter-precise calculations, this method is considered safer.
Instead of the scalpels and cutting instruments used in traditional techniques, the piezo method uses ultrasonic sound waves to make smoother cuts, giving the nose a more symmetrical form.
With this method, bleeding during the rhinoplasty procedure is minimal. Additionally, since the nasal bone is not fractured, swelling or bruising in the face is significantly reduced post-surgery.
Pain is also minimal, almost negligible, after the procedure.
When is piezo rhinoplasty performed?
Piezo rhinoplasty can be safely performed in many cases where the shape or function of the nose is impaired:
- Arched nose structure
- Wide or narrow nose shape
- Nose tilted to the right or left
- Nose tip that does not have the desired appearance
- Congenital nose deformities
- Noses that have difficulty breathing due to deformity
- Functional and structural deformities in the nose following trauma or accident
- Noses that have undergone previous surgery but have developed deformities
- Patients who wish to have nose aesthetics but do not want the nasal bone to be broken
